Settle

In the heart of Ribblesdale, Settle is one of the most scenic areas of the Yorkshire Dales, known all over the world as a gateway to the immense Three Peaks: Penyghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The Three Peaks region spreads around 160 square kilometres over the Pennines, with some of the most beautiful limestone scenery in the world. Much of this area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to the extraordinary yet fragile ecosystem that exists here. Settle is also well known as the starting point of the Settle-Carlisle Railway which runs through some of the most picturesque scenery in the country. You will find a charming selection of hotels, guest houses and self catering cottages in Settle which cater for all tastes and budgets, as well as seasonal camping and caravan sites. Settle is located just off the A65, northwest of Skipton, with its own railway station and great road links.
