Bridlington
Bridlington offers a variety of attractions for visiting tourists. The Harbour Heritage Museum provides an insight into the maritime history of the town and just outside Bridlington lies Burton Agnes Hall, a magnificent Elizabethan House featuring spectacular gardens and grounds that are open throughout the summer. Sewerby Hall and Gardens is set on the cliff tops over-looking Bridlington and is open to the public (gardens open all year; hall open April to October).
Leisure World in Bridlington is an undercover complex close to the beach containing three different pools as well as a bar and catering facilities. Bird lovers should go to the RSPB Bempton Cliffs reserve, home to almost a quarter of a million seabirds including puffins, gannets, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes and fulmars; In season there are wonderful views from the cliff tops of the birds feeding their young. For entertainment there is a small fair by the beach and harbour with rides for small children and amusement arcades for the oder ones. Adults will enjoy a visit to The Spa which offers drama, comedy, dancing, sport and exhibitions.
Situated just south of the A165 from Filey and north of Beverley, Bridlington has good road links. Although some distance from the North York Moors, it is on the edge of the Wolds and on the coast which have picturesque walks and stunning scenery. Caravan equipment is easily accessible in Bridlington at Abyss Caravan Supplies or The Camping Shop. Food provisions can be found onsite at many of the larger sites or alternatively, there are several large supermarkets on the outskirts of town.
